So What is CSA?
CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture”
It’s an annual commitment to a farm through an upfront payment in the spring, in-turn we get to support you weekly from June - October by growing all sorts of veggies and fruits! The commitment to a CSA builds a farm community that supports each other and the efforts to localize our food system.
Leah Penniman from Soul Fire Farm put it perfectly, comparing the payment system to a “Netflix” subscription. Do you want to get unlimited access to movies for the year? Then go buy a year long subscription to Netflix. Same with a CSA. Do you want to get veggies for the season? Then purchase a CSA from a local farm!

What happened to Revive the Roots' CSA?
We connected with Bramblenook Farm when we had to pivot away from running our own CSA in 2023. While we still grow food for hunger relief and run community and educational programs we can't do it all. Building a robust and sustainable local food systems by directly connecting farmers to eaters is still very importation, so we partnered with Bramblenook Farm! We are so glad to direct you to their CSA with our full endorsement of the farming practices and values. As we continue to grow food and build our capacity as a farm, you may start to find some Revive the Roots grown foods in your Bramblenook Farm weekly CSA pick-ups. Last year we contributed garlic scapes in the spring pick ups. Help our friends grow their membership, get great produce all season long and support local farms. A triple win!

A bit from the folks at Bramblenook Farm:
Nourishment: We grow food to nourish our community. We grow food to increase affordable access to healthy and fresh produce. We grow food to combat food injustice. We grow food as an expression of love.
Close to Home: Liz Davis and Sagan Gray operate the farm business on a parcel of land where we live collectively with family and friends. We are excited to share our bounty with our neighbors and community.
Caring for the Land: We feel a responsibility to care for the land and surrounding ecosystem through our farming methods. We aim to work synergistically as stewards of the land, and approach our efforts with gratitude and care.
